The story of William Montague Glenister
William Montague Glenister, born in 1828, progressed from police constable to the first chief constable of Hastings, earning the accolade 'the father of the Hastings police force'.

Malcolm Glenister, his great grandson, has traced WMG's family and paints this picture of a great man who founded a dynasty of Glenisters.
