Dave Glenister qualified at Birmingham College of Arts & Crafts in 1963, with a degree in Silversmithing. After a number of years in practice as a lecturer, he pursued a career in industry, specializing in product design, and then later in retail management. A few years ago, he returned to his 'roots' - adapting his silversmithing techniques and craft skills, designing and hand making specialist items in wood - his favourite material.
